I used to be in marketing before I became a product manager. One of the earliest lessons (thru feedback) that I learnt was that while writing customer facing copies one should always talk about the value that customer will get rather than writing about the feature that the team has shipped. Both are technically same but the way they are phrased are different.
I recently noticed this in my wife's side hustle, lettermelon.com. Till this year she used "Lettering and Illustrations" text under the company logo, and people would come up and ask what it meant. I'm sure a lot didn't even walk up to know what that meant. I'm sure you don't know what that means to you as a buyer. This year she changed that to "Artwork & Gifting". Now you got it, right?
This is the difference between writing about a feature vs writing about the value. The feature is that she does lettering and illustrations but the value to customer is that they can buy artwork for gifting purpose.
By the way, if you are looking for Christmas gifts for your friends and family > Letter Melon. You can also DM Lettermelon on instagram.
